Sharing from the Web Client

From the Web Client, you can share information with conference participants.

Requirements to initiate Sharing from the Web Client

Before you begin

Make sure you have installed the MiShareApp application on your system. To download and install MiShareApp:

 NOTE: After successful installation, the MiShareApp application closes automatically.

 NOTE: The MiShareApp application is upgraded automatically when you click Share icon in the conference window.

Procedure

To initiate the web sharing:

  1. Click the Join Meeting link provided in the Leader's invitation e-mail. You can also copy the Join Meeting link in the e-mail or copy it directly from  the MiCollab Audio, Web and Video Conferencing web page.

 NOTE: Make sure that pop-ups are allowed in your browser settings.

  1. The MiCollab Audio, Web and Video Conferencing Web Client Join page opens.

  1. The MiCollab Audio, Web and Video Conference page opens. Click Share in the Web Client.

  1. The screen selection popup is displayed.

 NOTE: If you are using more than one monitor and choose to share your screen, all your monitors screens will be displayed in the selection popup.


  1. A dialog box appears at the bottom of the screen indicating that sharing is in progress. The left panel of the conference page displays Your Name(WebShare) is added as a participant. In the dialog box, you can:

 

Show Viewer

When you share from Web Client, the viewer region is hidden and Sharing In Progress is displayed in the meeting details title.

 

Conditions and Limitations

    1. On Firefox browser, click the Menu button (at the upper-right corner) and then click Help.

    2. From the Help menu, choose Troubleshooting Information.

    3. Click the Refresh Firefox button at the upper-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page.

    4. To continue, click Refresh Firefox in the confirmation window.
